In November 2024, Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS hosted Human-Centred Design Week at AICOS (HCDWeek@AICOS 2024), a conference dedicated to human-centred research and innovation. The event gathered 77 participants across academia, healthcare, and industry for keynote talks, project presentations, and hands-on workshops focused on design, ethics, and technology in healthcare.

As part of the programme, the Signo project — Value Systems in Digital Health Technologies — was featured in a dedicated session. The team presented the project’s aims, methods, and early outcomes, and facilitated a value elicitation workshop with attendees. Through a collaborative card-based activity, participants explored tensions and priorities in the design of AI-supported tools for Glaucoma diagnosis and care.

The workshop created space for reflection across disciplines, contributing to Signo’s mission of identifying and integrating shared values in the development of responsible, meaningful digital health technologies.
